They are not. The free tier is meant for listening in the browser and deciding whether Rap AI fits you, and its songs are public by default. Moving to a paid plan adds MP3 and WAV file downloads along with the option to keep songs private.

Whatever rights applied at the moment a song was generated stay with that song, even after your subscription ends. How long the files remain stored follows your plan's storage terms.
